Venue Information and Social Program

Venue

ECCOMAS MSF 2027 will be held in Split, the largest city on the Adriatic coast of Croatia and the historical and cultural centre of Dalmatia. With more than 1,700 years of history, Split is renowned for its unique combination of ancient heritage, Mediterranean atmosphere, and vibrant modern life.

At the heart of the city lies the UNESCO World Heritage Site Diocletian’s Palace, one of the best-preserved monuments of Roman architecture. Built in the 4th century AD as the retirement residence of Emperor Diocletian, the palace today forms the living centre of Split, where historical monuments, restaurants, cafés, and local shops coexist within its ancient walls.
